South Main Street English Bible Circle

Looking to improve your English? Want to make friends in Vancouver? Trying to find your way in a new culture? The English Bible Circle is here to help you.

Everyone is welcome at the English Bible Circle. We meet in South Main Street Gospel Hall. No pre-registration required; just contact us for the current schedule.

We practise and learn English by singing together, reading aloud and listening to lessons from the Bible. Then we have a snack and enjoy good conversation to work on our English skills together. Several times a year, the teachers take the group to some of their favourite places around Vancouver

English Bible Circle is free for everyone.

At South Main Street English Bible Circle you'll find:

  • A friendly neighbourhood feeling,

  • A welcome for all ages and all skill-levels,

  • Leaders who are native English speakers, and

  • Leaders who learned English as their second or third language.

But, you'll never find fees, donation requests, or collections.

The leaders at South Main Street English Bible Circle are Christians who seek to share the love of God by helping our neighbours. While you're learning English, we hope you accept the greater blessing of learning about the God who loves you. We read from the Bible which is the source of many expressions in English and many of the metaphors and reference points used in the English literature and everyday speech.
